WARREN — Parkman Road between Garden Street and Bingham Avenue will be closed to traffic starting next Tuesday for road repairs, city officials announced.

The closure will allow crews to remove the existing brick base and replace it with full-depth asphalt, with work expected to be completed in three days.

The primary detour for traffic will direct drivers to West Market Street, then to the state Route 5 / 82 bypass, and back to Parkman Road. Local residents may use nearby roads to navigate around the work zone.

City officials said controlled access will be maintained for residents and businesses within the work zone. Vehicles will be allowed to park on the road when construction restricts driveway access. Residents will receive a day’s notice before work begins in front of their homes to arrange parking. City and contractor representatives will be on site to assist as needed.

In its media release, the city acknowledged the inconvenience caused by the project and thanked the public for their patience.
