WHAT: Board of education meeting Monday

PRESENT: Brooke Vondrasek, Scott Chapman, Jared Bilas and Don Mickel

ABSENT: Kristina Stephens

The board:

• Approved a new five-year contract for Superintendent Christopher Dray, effective Aug. 1, 2026, to July 31, 2031, with a salary of $104,734 in 2026. Dray has been with the district for 13 years.

• Hired Brittney Abbott as a guidance counselor and Jennifer Soukenik as an intervention specialist for the 2025-26 school year, which starts Aug. 20.

• Approved a one-year agreement with the Bristol Public Library at $6,000 for various services. The library is located next to the school complex, with elementary classes visiting the library each week.
