WHAT: Township trustees meeting June 11

PRESENT: Charles Hagman, Cindy Speaker and Dan Tietz

Trustees:

• Reported improvements and updates at the township hall and garage begin this month.

• Discussed having a joint road project with a neighboring community to help secure Ohio Public Works Commission funds.

• Scheduled a zoning hearing 5:30 p.m. July 9 on proposed changes to the zoning codes regarding solar panels and charging stations.

• Heard from resident Bruce Sample who asked trustees to consider a horseshoe court, which he said also could be used for darts and cornhole.

• Reported a new cement area has been installed for the recycling center, which was paid for by a grant from the Geauga-Trumbull Solid Waste Management District.

• Approved $3,500 for paramedic training, with Warren Township also contributing $3,500.
