Youngstown man faces superseding indictment

26-year-old accused of causing serious harm

YOUNGSTOWN — Da’Qwann R. Henderson, 26, Bryson Street, was indicted Thursday in a superseding indictment on felonious assault with a gun specification and other charges.

Henderson was originally indicted in 2019 on a felonious assault charge that alleges he caused serious physical harm to a person. That charge remains in the superseding indictment.

He also is indicted on two counts of having weapons while not allowed and single counts of improperly handling firearms in a motor vehicle, tampering with evidence, carrying a concealed weapon, fentanyl-related compound possession and falsification.

The reason for the superseding indictment was to change a drug possession charge from heroin to fentanyl, prosecutors said. If Henderson is convicted, he could get more than 10 years in prison.

Also indicted are:

• Raymond D. Sykes, 34, Lorain Correctional Institution, Grafton, failure to comply with the order of a police officer and obstructing official business.

• Shawn J. Graham, 25, Kirk Road, cocaine possession and illegal use or possession of drug paraphernalia.

• Kathleen M. McGovern, 42, North River Road, Warren, cocaine possession and illegal use or possession of drug paraphernalia.

• Frank N. Vetrano, 36, N. Yorkshire Boulevard, Austintown, aggravated drug possession and two counts of drug possession.

• Brittany N. Taylor, 33, Mahoning County jail, assault and obstructing official business.

• Dariann N. Evans, 25, Roberts Avenue Northwest, Warren, cocaine possession and illegal use or possession of drug paraphernalia.

• Tommy L. Carter, 61, Hillman Way, Boardman, cocaine possession.

• Jerrell M. Wiggins, 21, Mahoning County jail, having weapons while not allowed, improperly handling firearms in a motor vehicle and falsification.

• Paul D. Ellison, 39, Cleveland, having weapons while not allowed, carrying a concealed weapon, two counts of improperly handling firearms in a motor vehicle and single counts of receiving stolen property and operating a motor vehicle under the influence.

• Zachary J. Markovich, 30, state Route 7, New Waterford, drug possession, possessing drug abuse instruments and illegal use or possession of drug paraphernalia.

• Jason L. Womack, 38, Early Road, grand theft of a motor vehicle, breaking and entering and misdemeanor theft.

• Edgard Patino, 34, E. State Street, Hermitage, Pa., misdemeanor criminal trespass, misdemeanor criminal damaging and misdemeanor attempted interference with custody. The case was returned to a lower court.

• Kiarra X. Jackson, 26, Sheridan Road, misdemeanor aggravated trespass, misdemeanor aggravated menacing and misdemeanor attempted interference with custody. The case was returned to a lower court.

• The grand jury refused to indict James Bethea Jr.
