City to require fire insurance on rental properties

WARREN — City Council on Wednesday passed an ordinance requiring landlords to carry fire insurance on non-owner-occupied rental properties and enforcement mechanisms that officials said had left the city on the hook for demolition costs when uninsured buildings burned. GIRARD — City officials are considering adding a mountain bike trail in the city and plan to check out other trails to get a better sense of what works.
