Ohio cases remain above 6K for third day

The number of COVID-19 cases in the state remains high with each of the past three days exceeding 6,000. It’s the first time since Jan. 5 to 16 that Ohio had at least three days in a row with a minimum of 6,000 COVID-19 cases. During the past 11 days, all but two exceeded 4,000 cases. Of those 11, six had more than 5,000 daily cases. U.S. Rep. Tim Ryan seeks move of 2022 Games

WARREN — Democrat U.S. Rep. Tim Ryan wants China to lose out on hosting the 2022 Winter Olympics if the country won’t agree to participate in additional phases of a study the World Health Organization conducted on the origins of the COVID-19 virus. Ohio hits 7,000 cases for second day in a row

The number of COVID-19 cases in Ohio increased 17.5 times in just the past seven weeks and is showing signs of only getting higher as the state exceeded 7,000 daily cases for the second day in a row. Ohio hasn’t seen COVID-19 case numbers this high since January. Warren workers required to mask up

WARREN — Those working in city departments have to wear masks and maintain social distancing whenever they are inside city-owned buildings. More than 7,000 COVID-19 cases reported

The state is experiencing a surge in COVID-19 cases not seen since January. The Ohio Department of Health reported 7,102 COVID-19 cases Wednesday. It’s the first time the state exceeded 7,000 cases since 7,271 were reported Jan. 21. However, 1,021 of them are because of a backlog of cases, according to the ODH. “As the result of a laboratory reporting delay, today’s case count will include 1,021 positive COVID-19 cases from antigen testing between Aug. 15-25,” the ODH said in a statement.
