Veterans can get free turkey, pie

FOOD FOR VETERANS: The Cover Down Fund will distribute free turkeys and pumpkin pies to local veterans at noon Saturday in the parking lot of the Trumbull County Veterans Service Commission, 253 E. Mission sets food giveaway

FOOD GIVEAWAY: The Warren Family Mission is hosting an emergency food giveaway starting at 10 a.m. Saturday and continuing while supplies last. The event will take place at the Trumbull County Fairgrounds Gate A, 4181 Hoagland Blackstub Road in Bazetta. The mission is prepared to serve up to 1,000 cars. No registration is required. HOLIDAYS IN HARTFORD: Holidays in Hartford will be 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at the Hartford municipal building on state Route 305 and other locations around the township center off state Route 7. LIBERTY — As more families turn to the Liberty Local Schools Food Pantry for support, the Girard-Liberty Rotary Club’s $3,000 donation couldn’t have come at a better time.
