Seeing Eye: SCOPE offers session on artificial floral arranging

FLORAL ARRANGING: The Howland SCOPE Center will offer artificial floral arranging 1 to 3 p.m. Friday. Students will receive materials, tools and a project instruction sheet. The instructor will be Gail Hanes of Howland. The fee for each class is $30, payable at the time of registration at the Howland SCOPE Center, due one week prior to each class. McKinley Library to present Presidents’ Day Celebration

PRESIDENTS’ DAY CELEBRATION: McKinley Memorial Library will present a Presidents’ Day Celebration 1 to 4:30 p.m. Monday at the McKinley Birthplace Home in Niles. Some memories not missed during cold weather

By the time you read this, we will have had a couple of days in the 30s this week. But as I am writing this article, we are headed into another weekend with below-average temperatures. Seems to be the theme of this winter. At least there shouldn’t be too much additional snow this weekend. Sometimes I really miss having dairy cows, but I don’t miss the challenges a winter like this presents. Water is always a challenge. Always checking water fountains.
