Fourth of July events abound in Valley

A variety of events are taking place throughout the Mahoning Valley to celebrate Independence Day and the nation’s 250th birthday. CHAMPION CAR SHOW: Champion High School will host a car show to support its athletics and booster programs from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the high school parking lot off Mahoning Avenue, Registration is $10 per car. Library reschedules Strawberry Festival

MUSIC ON THE LAWN CANCELED: Because of predicted rain on Thursday, Music on the Lawn and the Strawberry Festival at the McKinley Memorial Library has been rescheduled for July 2. CAR SHOW: The Elm Road Theater Car, Truck and Motorcycle Show will take place 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday at the drive-in, 1895 Elm Road NE, Warren.
