Help clean up Mahoning River

VOLUNTEER: Help protect and restore local waterway at the next Friends of the Mahoning River cleanup, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday, weather permitting. Meet at Thomas Swift Park, Warren, at 9:45 a.m. Cars will shuttle to the takeout at Canoe City in Leavittsburg. This is primarily an on-water cleanup, but there is work to do on shore if you do not have a boat. Wear closed-toe shoes and weather-appropriate clothing, as well as sunscreen and a hat. This past month has been filled with so many wonderful opportunities to share our love and passion for farming and to give consumers a small glimpse into what it takes to raise and care for crops and animals. BRACEVILLE BENCH DEDICATION: The Braceville Historical Society and the Mary Chesney Chapter of National Society Daughters of the American Revolution will host an American Revolutionary War veteran bench memorial ceremony at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Braceville Cemetery. Celebrate America250 at Imagination Station

AMERICA250 CELEBRATION: People are invited to celebrate America’s 250th birthday noon to 4 p.m. Sunday at Imagination Station in Bazetta Township Park.
