BACKPACK GIVEAWAY: The Warren Family Mission, 155 Tod Ave. NW, Warren, will have a backpack and school supply distribution Friday for children in grades kindergarten to 12th grade. Registration is at noon and distribution begins at 1 p.m. The mission will give away 350 backpacks filled with school supplies to children in the community. Parents need to bring parent/ guardian photo ID and a birth certificate for each child. Supplies are limited and will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. There will be free pizza and ice cream available.
SPARTAN CHALLENGE: McDonald Village will conclude its summer park activities for children with the Spartan Challenge at noon Thursday at Woodland Park. The event will have an America-themed twist. Registration is at 11 a.m. The event is for children ages 13 and younger. There will be an awards ceremony and party following the event.
COIN CLUB: The Wheatland Mercer County Coin Club meets the first Wednesday of every month. The next meeting is Wednesday at the Wheatland American Legion Post, 2 Cherry St., Hermitage, Pa. Enter through the side entrance on the right.
This month the club will plan a special raffle, main raffle, coin auction, birthday prizes and much more. Every member will be awarded one free coin and may participate in the raffles. More information is available on the club's website.
VACCINE CLINIC: The Warren City Health District will be providing a public Covid-19 Vaccine Clinic from 9 to 11 a.m. and 1 to 3 p.m. on Wednesday at 2258 E. Market St., Warren. No appointment needed.
FOOD TRUCK NIGHT: North Bloomfield will have a food truck night 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Bloomfield Park, 8830 Park Drive, North Bloomfield.
