OUR LADY OF MOUNT CARMEL FESTIVAL: The 93rd annual Our Lady of Mount Carmel Festival will be 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. for lunch and 5 to 10 p.m. Thursday through Sunday at the grounds of St. Pope John Pau XXIII Church, 381 Robbins Ave., Niles. COLUMBUS — More than 250 graduating seniors from across the state recently received their high school diplomas as members of Great River Connections Academy’s Class of 2026. Seeing Eye: Paddling trip planned on the Mahoning River

MAHONING RIVER PADDLING TRIP: A Mahoning River Paddling Trip will take place from 2 to 6 p.m. Saturday at the Niles Riverside Park, East First St., Niles. The public can explore the Mahoning River with Buckeye Water to Trail Adventures for a guided paddle from Niles Riverside Park to Marshall Street in Girard. The 4.5 miles river trip allows people to enjoy the outdoors and learn about local waterways and experience the Mahoning River from a new perspective. A shuttle will be provided.
