Program digs into Braceville’s early years

BRACEVILLE HISTORY PROGRAM: A history of Braceville will be presented 2 p.m. Sunday at Braceville Township Hall. The program will explore Braceville’s first families, businesses and ideas that shaped the community

CHILI COOKOFF: The Bazetta Township Park Board will present a chili cookoff fundraiser 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Country Porch Winery, 2282 Wilson Sharpsville Road, Cortland. Proceeds from the event will benefit park improvements. Tickets include admission and chili to sample. There will be blind judging, a raffle and 50/50 drawing.

To enter chili in the contest ($20) and for tickets ($5), call Mary at 330-360-7867.

HYDROPONICS PROGRAM: Learn how to grow anything, anywhere, any time of the year at a presentation 6 p.m. Tuesday at the Hubbard Public Library. Andrew Beers will present “Hands-on Hydroponics with the Forge of Creation.”

Registration is required for the free presentation at 330-534-3512, Ext. 2.

VHS MEMBERSHIP CAMPAIGN: The Vienna Historical Society is hosting a raffle to win a lifetime membership — a $250 value. Raffle tickets are $5 each and will be sold through April. A winner will be selected at the April 28 meeting. To enter, email inquiry@viennahistory.org or call 330-647-4276.
