Historical Society to host Civil War talk
McKINLEY PROGRAM: The Vienna Historical Society will host a program “How the Civil War Shaped McKinley’s Presidency” at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the Copper Penny Lodge, 4275 Warren-Sharon Road, Vienna. Guest speaker is Belinda Weiss, director of the National McKinley Birthplace Museum in Niles. Weiss will talk on McKinley’s involvement with 23rd Ohio Volunteer Infantry during the Civil War and how it influenced his presidency.
CHAIR YOGA: Mary Brown of A Moment for Me Yoga and Wellness Center will guide participants through gentle stretches using a chair for support 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the McKinley Birthplace Home. Registration is required at 330-652-1704, ext. 3.
“STRANGER THINGS” GOODBYE: The Warren-Trumbull County Public Library will have a “Farewell to the Upside Down” to mark the end of the Netflix series “Stranger Things” at 6 p.m. today for teens ages 12-18, featuring a discussion about the show. Waffles will be served.
