Howland church hosts craft show
FREE EVENT: The Helping Hands Craft Show will be 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at Howland Community Church. There will be a vendor raffle with a donated handmade quilt.
Admission is free. Proceeds benefit the free fellowship lunch, the Client Choice Pantry, and other church missions.
AUTHORS FAIR: The Warren-Trumbull County Public Library, 444 Mahoning Ave., Warren, will hold a local authors fair 12:30 to 3 p.m. Saturday in the Harding Meeting Room, with authors from across Northeast Ohio. Their works range from fiction to nonfiction, as well as books for children and teenagers. A poetry workshop will be held before the fair. For information, call 330-399-8807.

VETERAN’S SHOW: Cover Down Fund, a local nonprofit group that supports health and wellness programs for veterans in the Mahoning Valley, is hosting a live show 7 p.m. Tuesday, Veterans Day, at the Robins Theatre in Warren.

OSTOMY SUPPORT MEETING: The Youngstown area Ostomy Support Group will meet 6 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at 979 Tibbetts Wick Road, Suite A, Girard.
Family members and people considering an ostomy are welcome. The group offers education, encouragement and support to anyone whose life is affected by an ostomy.
MINIATURE ART WORKSHOP: Internationally recognized miniature painting artist Jeanie Gordon will be leading a workshop 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday at the Lou Holtz / Upper Ohio Valley Hall of Fame, 120 E. Fifth St., East Liverpool.
Gordon has had her miniature art displayed in galleries nationwide and has won numerous awards. She enjoys educating the public about the history of miniature art and teaching others how to paint in miniature.
The cost is $30, which includes all supplies.
