HALLOWEEN PARADES: Niles and Warren will host Halloween parades Sunday. The Niles parade will begin at 1 p.m., with parade participants to register and line up at Niles McKinley High School at noon. The parade will travel from the high school to Main Street, and travel from Federal Street to State Street by the Niles viaduct.
The Warren parade will be at 2 p.m. Sunday and travel from Perkins Park along Mahoning Avenue through the downtown by Courthouse Square and along East Market Street.
TRUNK OR TREAT: Howland Medical Center, Niles Cortland Road NE, will host a trunk-or-treat noon to 2 p.m. Saturday.
HISTORICAL SOCIETY PROGRAM: The Brookfield Historical Society will host a “History of the Coal Mines of Brookfield” at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Brookfield Library, 7032 Grove St. Along with the program, there will be maps and relics available to view.
CONFERENCE SPEAKER: Remnant Lighthouse International Ministries, Farrell, Pa., will have guest speaker Apostle Rita Twiggs during the prayer conference revival, 7 p.m. today and Saturday; a prayer workshop 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday; and 9 a.m. service Sunday.
The workshop will be at the Quality Inn, 3200 S. Hermitage Road, Hermitage. Pa.
HISTORICAL SOCIETY SPEAKER: The Geauga County Historical Society and the Burton Historic District will have guest speaker Tom Ford at 1 p.m. Sunday at Auburn Church at the Century Village Museum. Ford is a retired reporter, editorial writer and columnist for various newspapers spanning 22 years.
