FRIENDS BOOK SALE: Friends of the Library will host a book sale 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday and 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday in the auditorium of the National McKinley Birthplace Memorial Museum, 40 N. Main St., Niles. The bag sale will be 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday.
The Friends will be selling a wide selection of books, audiobooks, music and movies for all ages. For more information, visit www.mcklib.org/Friends.
WWC LUNCHEON: Warren Women’s Connection (WWC) will host its October luncheon Monday at DiLucia’s Banquet Center, 2610 Elm Road NE, Warren. The cost is $15 for new attendees and $20 for members. The theme is ” What’s in your future?” Also planned is a surprise music feature for guests.
The inspirational speaker, Jacqueline “Jacki” Kulp, will present “Soaring Over Rejection in Life.”

LIBRARY CLOSED: McKinley Memorial Library will be closed Monday in observance of Staff Development Day. The library will reopen at 9 a.m. Tuesday.
UNDERSTANDING ANXIETY: McKinley Memorial Library will present Understanding Anxiety 2 to 3:30 p.m. Saturday at the McKinley Birthplace Home in Niles. Participants will learn about anxiety and its causes with Ms. Barb, LISW with Cadence Care Network and adjunct professor at Youngstown State University. She will discuss how anxiety affects the brain and how to train the amygdala, a small structure in the brain that deals with emotions.
