Sweetening the walk for breast cancer
CUPCAKE WALK: The third annual Cupcake Walk, sponsored by Pink Lights the Way, will take place noon to 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Eastwood Field, Niles. There will be activities for everyone, survivors / fighters / thrivers lap and then all participants join in to walk the mile walk, picking up cupcakes from local bakers and bakeries along the way.
The event benefits local nonprofit Pink Lights the Way. In the past two years, the group has raised more than $100,000 to support local women during their breast cancer treatment.

FOOD DRIVE: McKinley Memorial Library is sponsoring a Thanksgiving food drive beginning Wednesday through Oct. 31. In partnership with Niles Community Services, the McKinley Memorial Library will collect nonperishable food in jars, boxes, packages and cans to benefit those in need. Donations, which must be unopened and have current dates, should be dropped off at the library or at Niles Community Services.
NUESTRA AMERICA: McKinley Memorial Library will present “Nuestra America: Stories of 30 Inspiring Latinas / Latinos Who Have Shaped the United States” with Smithsonian educators at 2 p.m. Thursday. FESTIVAL SET: 717 Credit Union will host a Blues Brews and BBQ Festival starting at noon Saturday at the Warren Community Amphitheatre with a day full of music and other events Tickets are $10 per person for adults and children.
JUNK IN TRUNK: The Royal Rangers and Warren First Assembly of God, 2640 Parkman Road, Warren, will host a Junk in Your Trunk sale 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the church parking lot. Vendors can reserve a spot at 330-502-6544,
GUEST SPEAKER: Denise Horsley, legal advocate supervisor for Someplace Safe, will be the guest speaker at 5:30 p.m. Monday at the AAUW Warren Trumbull Branch meeting at the Trumbull Career and Technical Center, 5398 Educational Highway, Champion. SEMINAR SET: Trumbull County Probate Court will present the 44th annual practice seminar 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Friday at the Robins Theatre on East Market Street in downtown Warren.
