LEWIS APPOINTED: Marcus Thomas, a Cleveland-based integrated marketing communications agency, recently announced the appointment of Youngstown-native Jill Lewis to chief client officer.

With more than two decades of experience guiding large-scale, integrated marketing efforts at the agency, Lewis was appointed senior vice president, interim director of client service in 2025 before being named chief client officer. She previously managed the agency’s Health & Wellness practice, leading client Dexcom’s growth from a million-dollar company to a billion-dollar global leader over the course of its 10-year relationship with the agency and overseeing the longstanding success of the award-winning Akron Children’s account for nearly two decades.

Most notably, Lewis played an integral role in managing the execution of the agency’s first Super Bowl spot for Dexcom, featuring brand spokesperson Nick Jonas. Known for her thoughtful approach and sharp business instincts, Lewis was first introduced to Marcus Thomas as a client, an experience that contributed to her ability to successfully lead client relationships with empathy and collaboration.

VINTAGE DESTINATION: Golden Age Vintage Marketplace, a new destination celebrating entrepreneurship, creativity and local history will open April 10 with a ribbon cutting ceremony at 10 a.m., unveiling a 4,000-square-foot, secure marketplace designed to support small businesses, artisans, antique dealers and creative curators.

The marketplace, located at 1282 Trumbull Ave. Girard, will be open seven days a week from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. The site will operate as a small business retail incubator. The marketplace is an extension of Sweet Memories Vintage Tees & Candy.

The marketplace brings together antiques, oddities, handmade goods, vintage collectibles and emerging makers under one roof, creating a dynamic shopping experience for the community while empowering small businesses to grow.

At the heart of the marketplace is a tribute to Nathan Darsky, a Russian Jewish immigrant whose entrepreneurial vision led to the founding of Golden Age Beverages in Youngstown in 1932. Darsky’s journey — from immigrant beginnings to local innovator — embodies the resilience, craftsmanship and entrepreneurial spirit that Golden Age Vintage Marketplace seeks to carry forward.

“Golden Age Vintage Marketplace was created to give small businesses a real leg up,” said founder Linda Barton. “This is not a weekend pop-up or a temporary market. It’s a secure, permanent space where vendors can operate seven days a week, build consistency, test ideas, and grow–just like the entrepreneurs who helped build Youngstown generations ago.”
