TAYLOR HONORED: Trumbull County Tourism recently recognized Jordan Taylor of the Mahoning Valley Scrappers for his long-standing service on the organization’s board of directors, including multiple leadership roles that helped advance tourism across the county.

Taylor most recently served as treasurer and has been an active voice for sports tourism, community partnerships and regional collaboration. His guidance has supported Trumbull County Tourism’s efforts to highlight local attractions, drive visitor spending and strengthen the county’s profile as a welcoming, affordable destination in Northeast Ohio.

“As we close out 2025, we are incredibly grateful to Jordan for his years of dedicated service,” said Beth Kotwis Carmichael, CEO of Trumbull County Tourism. “His leadership, perspective, and passion for our county have been instrumental in promoting all that Trumbull County has to offer, from hometown baseball to small businesses and community events.”

Trumbull County Tourism’s executive committee includes Stacey Hoover, president; Alyse Robinson, vice president; Taylor, treasurer; Rosalyn Hill, secretary; and Carmichael, CEO.

7 17 PROMOTIONS: 7 17 Credit Union, headquartered in Warren, has announced the following promotions.

• Bryan Klutzaritz has been named director of safety and security. Klutzaritz earned a bachelor’s degree in administration of justice from Penn State University. In his new role, he will oversee the strategic direction and daily execution of safety and security initiatives across all credit union branches and facilities.

• Dan Schiavone has been named commercial lender / relationship manager. Schiavone earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Youngstown State University. He will be responsible for developing, managing and expanding a portfolio of commercial loans and deposit relationships.

• Cali Shorts has been promoted to Vienna Branch manager. Shorts, who has been with 7 17 for five years, will oversee member service and manage the daily operations of the branch.

• Rachel Selby has joined 7 17 Credit Union as assistant manager of the Kent branch. Selby has several years of credit union experience and will assist in overseeing member service and daily branch operations.

• Melanie Mackey has been promoted to Bank Secrecy Act assistant manager. Mackey has been with the credit union for 26 years and will help coordinate the development, implementation and administration of the credit union’s Bank Secrecy Act program. Her responsibilities include supporting compliance with state and federal regulations related to the Bank Secrecy Act, the USA Patriot Act, anti-money-laundering rules and the Office of Foreign Assets Control.

PROPERTY PURCHASE: YALCARS, a multiaward‒winning preowned automotive retailer, announced recently its acquisition of 152 Continental Drive, Salem, formerly home to the Donnell Ford Lincoln Salem.

This purchase marks a transformative step in YALCARS’ mission to redefine the dealership experience and establish the YALCARS Auto Park as “Your Complete Automotive Destination.”

The new auto park consolidates YALCARS’ three existing lots into one location, doubling monthly capacity and offering customers a streamlined experience. The auto park will feature a suite of amenities designed to serve both customers and staff, including YALCARS Cafe, an automotive‒inspired café concept with a creative, themed menu and branded hospitality experience; boutique employee gym; service shop; carwash; and EV charging station.

“We are thrilled to take this next step in YALCARS’ journey,” said Yigit Yalcin, president and CEO of YALCARS.

The grand opening is planned for spring.
