Playhouse continues free ticket program for needy

Youngstown Playhouse’s Hearts for the Arts will keep beating. The program, which was funded through a $60,000 grant from the Youngstown Foundation, provided free tickets during the Playhouse’s 100th anniversary season for those who might not be able to attend otherwise. The lead track on Alison Krauss & Union Station album “Arcadia” is “Looks Like the End of the Road,” but it’s more of a new beginning for the band. “Arcadia” is the first album in 14 years by AKUS, which features Leavittsburg native Jerry Douglas on dobro. Trumbull New Theatre’s 2025-26 season takes flight with the farce “Boeing-Boeing.” Marc Camoletti’s French farce made its debut and was adapted into English by Beverly Cross and Francis Evans. It was turned into a 1965 film starring Tony Curtis and Jerry Lewis, and a Broadway revival in 2008 won the Tony Award that year for best revival of a play.
