TCHS Oktoberfest turns 10

Trumbull County Historical Society will raise a stein to a decade of Oktoberfest on the Square. Butler displays Cuban American artist’s work

The work of acclaimed Cuban American artist Julio Larraz will be featured in an exhibition opening Sunday at the Butler Institute of American Art. The exhibition coincides with National Hispanic Heritage Month. Larraz, who lives in Miami, started as a political cartoonist whose work appeared in such publications as the Washington Post and New York Times. Packard Band marks WWII end

The W.D. Packard Concert Band returns to indoor performances and will celebrate the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II at its September concert. Conductor Galen S. Karriker will lead the band in a repertoire that mixes patriotic fare with show tunes and classical offerings. Commodores ‘Sail On’ to Westminster

Westminster College’s Orr Auditorium will become a “Brick House” on Saturday when it plays host to The Commodores. The Motown act will open the 2025-26 Celebrity Series. The Commodores were formed in 1968 while attending the Tuskegee Institute. After being discovered by Motown founder Berry Gordy, the group went on to sell 70 million records worldwide. Stage Left presents ‘Wayside School’ play Stage Left Players’ “Sideways Stories from Wayside School” will be staged for three performances at Trinity Playhouse, 234 E. Lincoln Way, Lisbon.
