Third Day reunion plays Covelli Centre

Submitted photo Third Day brings its first tour in 11 years with its original lineup to the Covelli Centre this Friday.

A pair of successful contemporary Christian acts will spend Good Friday at the Covelli Centre.

Third Day and Zach Williams will play what’s likely to be a sold-out show at the Youngstown arena.

For Third Day, it’s the first tour in 11 years with all four original members — Mac Powell, Mark Lee, David Carr and Tai Anderson.

In its nearly 30-year career, Third Day has sold more than 10 million albums and had 31 number one singles.

The group’s accolades include four Grammy Awards, 24 Dove Awards, an American Music Award and multiple ASCAP honors, including the Vanguard Award for songwriting.

Third Day has appeared on “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno,” “The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson,” CBS’s “60 Minutes,” ABC’s “Nightline” and the cover of Billboard magazine.

Williams, who played a concert at Skyway Drive-In in Warren Township in 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic, is a two-time Grammy winner, receiving the best contemporary Christian music album honor in 2018 for “Chain Breaker” and best contemporary Christian music performance/song in 2021 for “There Was Jesus,” a duet with Dolly Parton.

Only seats on the back of the floor and some single seats in the arena bowl remain for the 7 p.m. show. Tickets range from $25 to $94.25 and are available at the Covelli Centre’s Southwoods Health box office and through Ticketmaster.

Starting at $3.23/week.
