Pope Leo XIV used part of his Palm Sunday message to castigate the United States for attempting to stop Iran from becoming a nuclear power and threatening the world with mass destruction. In doing so, the “American Pope” confused the real enemy in the war. Addressing thousands in St. Peter’s Square, the Pope claimed God rejects the prayers of leaders who wage war. He called the Iran war “atrocious” violence that cannot be justified by faith. PITTSBURGH — Last September, Pastor Jason Howard of the Sanctuary Church in Pittsburgh saw a surge of young people flocking to his Christian congregation, the week after Charlie Kirk was murdered. DEAR EDITOR: First of all, I had worked at Trumbull Memorial Hospital for 29 1/2 years. I have been out of there for the past 19 years. They made bad business decisions over the years. Putting that aside, the building should be made into Trumbull middle-class apartments — not low-income, not high-income (with the building not used at all). All this leads to fire taking place and vandalism, let alone stealing. They should use the money received from the state of Ohio from legal marijuana; it was $375,000.
