GIRLS BASKETBALL
Warren G. Harding 49, Austintown Fitch 44 – The Raiders got a key three points in the fourth in the win. After Austintown Fitch made it a 40-39 game, Trinity Taylor split a pair of free throws and Akeelha Barnes added a basket to make it a four-point lead. Taylor led all scorers with 16 points. Barnes finished with a double-double, tallying 10 points and a game-high 13 rebounds. Azarriah Phillips recorded nine points with 10 assists and four steals for the Raiders. Kylie Folkwein led the Falcons with 15 points and seven rebounds, and Amiya Harris added 14 points.
Chaney 58, Howland 44 – The Cowboys fell behind early, but they outscored the Tigers 22-5 in the third quarter after being held to 24 points in the first half. Chaney’s Alyssa Brown accounted for a game-high 20 points, and teammate Simone Lewis added 15. Mia Thomas finished with 12 points to lead the Tigers, and Talia Rishel finished with 11.
McDonald 52, Liberty 31 – The Blue Devils outscored Liberty 28-14 in the second half to clinch the win. Juliana Krumpak had a well-rounded game for McDonald, finishing with a game-high 21 points, seven assists and seven steals. Cierra Shiley added 10 points, eight rebounds and five blocks, and Sophia Pecchia recorded 10 points, seven rebounds and four steals. Andrea Reed and Qumara Watson each scored 10 points for the Leopards.
Badger 69, Mathews 42 – Badger started strong, outscoring the Mustangs 26-8 to gain early control. Riley Thomas was the top scorer for the Braves with 25 points, and Brinley Rice added 20 points. Rilee Paddock scored a game-high 26 points to lead the Mustangs.
West Branch 41, Salem 22 – After falling behind 9-4 at the end of the opening frame, the Warriors bounced back offensively. They outscored the rival Quakers 15-4 in the third to take the lead. Audrey Eaton led all scorers with 13 points for West Branch (10-1, 5-0). Abby Nickerbocker led the Quakers (8-5, 2-3) with nine points.
Warren JFK 71, Lake Center Christian 34 – After taking a 20-12 lead in the first quarter, the Eagles limited LCC to three points in the second to break the game open. Didi Ryan led all scorers with 25 points. Gianna Pompelia added 16 for Kennedy, and Hannah Myers ended with 12. Caroline Shelly and Paige Sommers each scored eight points for Lake Center.

BOYS BASKETBALL
McDonald 37, Warren JFK 27 – The Blue Devils remained perfect, improving to 10-0 and 7-0 in the Mahoning Valley Athletic Conference Scarlet Tier. After getting shut out in the second quarter, the Blue Devils outscored the Eagles 27-11 in the second half. Joey Cappuzzello led all scorers with 16 points, including 10 in the second half. Drew Zajack added 11 points. Henry Phillips was the Eagles’ lone double-digit scorer, finishing with 14 points.
Western Reserve 52, Waterloo 46 – Western Reserve’s Josh Klasic led all scorers with 23 points. Connor Cochran added 18 points to balance the Blue Devils’ scoring. Trevor Flarida led the Vikings with 22 points.
