GIRLS BASKETBALL
Mineral Ridge 60, Lowellville 25 — Sullivan Sandy’s 22 points helped power the Rams. Kadence Conaway had 11 points, Brystal Mills finished with eight, Tomlyn Sandy and Kelcee Dye both scored six and Gianna Gilbert tallied five points. Lowellville stats were not reported.
Girard 47, Columbiana 15 — After trailing 9-6 in the first quarter, the Indians shut down the Clippers. They held Columbiana to six total points in the final three quarters. Caylee Wilkes led all scorers with 21 points for Girard, and freshman Janaya Riley added 12 points. Sydney Sprite scored four points for the Clippers, and Tori Waselich and Lexi Davis each scored three.
Lakeview 58, Champion 25 — The Bulldogs shut out Champion in the fourth quarter. Sienna Terry scored all 15 of her points in the first three quarters for Lakeview. Ella Gough chipped in 10 points, Kalyssa Werner and Isabella Isenberg both scored eight points and Annie Humphrey added seven points. 43-Mackenzie Braham scored a team-high nine points for the Flashes.
Badger 55, Newton Falls 21 — The Braves (2-0) jumped out to a 14-2 lead by the end of the first quarter and never looked back. Maelyn Custer led all scorers with 18 points, Riley Thomas added 13 points and Emily O’Brien finished with eight points. Madison Davis led the Tigers with eight points, and Addison Pope had six points.
Lisbon 52, Windham 34 — The Blue Devils created some breathing room when they outscored Windham 16-8 in the second quarter. They extended their lead to 40-25 by the end of the third. Brielle Jones led the Bombers with 10 points, and Makenna Jones and Kierrah Sanders both had eight points. Lylah Brown and Jayden Smith both scored 14 points to lead the Devils, and Bridgett Newbold had 10 points.
