Sound off!
If 8 million people protesting “No Kings” thought it was going to overthrow our government, they should think again. They crowned Obama when he was in office too and said, “No Kings.” We ignored them and are ignoring you now! To get people over 100 years old to protest, that must have been the most exercise they have gotten in years. Shame on these organizers on social media!

The never-ending saga of Danny Lee Hill rears its ugly head again! The ongoing farce of appeal after appeal is ludicrous. He has been found guilty time and again, and appeal after appeal has been denied, yet he is – still wasting taxpayers’ money. Thirty appeals have been filed on his behalf, and millions of dollars have been spent over the four decades of his time in prison. As AG Dave Yost stated, “It is past time … to punish the monsters…”

A previous Newton Falls council was lambasted for raising the salary of then Prosecutor/City Solicitor Joe Fritz to $89,000 per year as he was performing both duties. Resident then and now Council Member Kropp was extremely vocal and vitriolic when this took place. As is normal he made his bombastic opinion known with the mayor and past councils by berating them. Fast forward to today and that same councilman Kropp is now part of the approval process in hiring two attorneys at almost double the salary of that of Fritz to cover both duties. Go figure.

Dynegy electric notification $10.14 per kwh new aggregate rate demonstrates inept and apathetic decisions by Trumbull County Commissioners affecting residents until 2027. Apples to apples shows better rates. The former electric provider could do better. Austintown leaders stepped up for their residents. There is an option to OPT OUT by April 20. Residents need to remember actions impacting households during the May 2026 primary by voting out Denny Malloy. Eventually every existing commissioner needs replaced across party lines. Trumbull County deserves better.

MAGA asked for a leader who was not a politician. I get it. But Trump sees his words as a sledge hammer and others’ words as nails. Unfortunately for the USA, being a diplomatic statesman is a mandatory POTUS skill especially at a crucial time such as global economic restructuring and potential WW3! France, England, Germany, Spain, Japan and other critical allies have just blocked all cooperation with Trump’s war in Iran. Any other US president would have easily signed arrangements with our most loyal allies.

Admittedly, I am far from an expert on AI. Many folks including myself have used it whether we realize it or not. It’s also being tested by doctors, surgeons and even the military. Since an AI center uses such an enormous amount of water and electricity, one has got to wonder what would happen should our own private uses of water and electricity are superseded by those of doctors, surgeons and military.

Disappointed that the Tribune would allow a “policy paper” to be published by Niki Frenchko, a candidate for congressional office, purporting to show her deep grasp of the issues affecting our local hospitals and comprehensive solutions for it that is COMPLETELY AI GENERATED. Not sure if this says more about her lack of integrity than it does your lack of care in publishing. Scanning tools are free and anyone with a grasp of the English language can tell. At least put up a disclaimer for the sake of your intelligent readers.

Just a thought. Today I got my Federal ID for vacation, planes, museums, etc. Getting a birth certificate and the Fed ID cost me $45.50. That was my choice. If the SAVE Act is passed, everyone will need that to vote. I can afford $45.50. I have a car to run around and get the needed paperwork. Many people don’t have the means. The SAVE Act is basically a poll tax. Poll taxes are illegal. The SAVE Act is a voter suppression law. Plain and simple.

Signed executive orders that nullify parts of the U.S. Constitution, started a global trade war, engulfed the global economy in an Iran war with no plans while officially and publicly abandoning all of our historically loyal allies, yielded the leadership of U.S. foreign policy to Russia and Israel’s global mafioso dictators, defended a pedophile network, tore down a wing of the White House and made several billion plus deals that enriched his family.

The Denny Malloy as commissioner experiment has failed our county miserably. He pilfered away $38 million in free money, drastically raised water and sewer rates, promoted raising the sales tax and now wants to take on new debt for failing infrastructure. He simply does not FIT into this role. It’s time for Denny to find a more appropriate job. Carnival barker, Walmart greeter or health spa spokesman would seem a better career choice.

On Easter Sunday, the world awoke to hear the most disgusting and vulgar language from a U.S. president. The man has proven many times that he is cruel and the most indecent politician in our history. Our country may never heal or recover from the hate and destruction he has inflicted upon us and the world.
