Trump administration appears to mock religion

DEAR EDITOR:

Administration 47 is rather alarming in, well, its administration. It defies biblical teachings, but many serving in this administration wear crosses. I am not a biblical scholar or a religious zealot, but the following actions are disturbing:

Jesus would not treat undocumented immigrants as they are currently being treated. See Matthew 25:35 as to how you treat others that are strangers. If one believes that God created Earth, then should not His children be allowed to live anywhere created by God? Correct me if I am wrong, but I do not think that the United States purchased this country from God. Remember, the early “settlers “of this country believed they had the right to come here and did not apply to come here.

Let us not forget the unkindness and criticism given to Episcopalian Bishop Marian Budde because she asked for mercy for the immigrants. She served the Lord by asking for mercy for them.

Then there is the matter of vengeance by this administration. If one is blatantly wearing a cross, he / she must know that vengeance belongs to the Lord. See Romans 12:19.

Unfortunately, there are many other incidents that are Christ-defying. Given that this administration’s actions in rewriting history, are we going to soon have an Administration 47 Revised Version Bible?

I have been praying that Jesus will visit certain members of this administration just like Jesus visited Saul. See Acts 9:04.

When I see members of the administration 47 wearing a cross, I get chills down my spine in that it appears to be a mockery of Christianity.
