Sound off!

Why show a new golf course opening when we have so many more serious issues to work on? We were angry during Trump’s first reign, and we seem even more angry now given the seriously declining mental health of the people of this nation. Shootings, stabbings and riots seem to be an everyday happening. Maybe Vance, Moreno and Rulli, who are doing nothing for Ohioans, could spend more time on help for mental illness than lying for and sucking up to Trump.

TV 21 had a headline “Local leaders want details in Lake to River CEO search.” They profess surprise and a need for transparency. May I suggest they read local newspapers and journals? In 2024, the CEO was introduced as the INTERIM CEO and was offering time and effort for free. So the current CEO is an unpaid volunteer and it was known from the beginning she was temporary and was to be replaced. How is that for up front and TRANSPARENT.

If Donald Trump wants to change the name of the Cleveland Guardians back to the Indians simply out of spite, he should pay for it! It cost over $10 million when they changed from Indians in 2021. It’s just another way to distract his gullible cult from Trump and Epstein list and the mountains of evidence against him. The disgusting things he has said about his own daughter were enough to turn me off. Anyone who supports a pedophile should rot in hell with him. It’s good to wake up, people!

According to the Monday Tribune, Warren is seeking funds from a grant program to pay for the removal of dead / dying trees and the planting of new ones. No need to get a grant. All Warren has to do is have Law Director Enzo order trees to be removed, whether dying or healthy. He did a bang-up job of that with the historical trees behind the Women’s Park. Sad.

So, Insight and the Trumbull County Commissioners think that Trumbull Regional Hospital can re-open. Can they be serious? The Hospital has been closed for months; physicians and nurses have left — either for greener pastures or other local jobs; most other personnel and support staff have gone elsewhere; equipment has been removed or has been unused for months. Even if it does re-open, who would come to this location for such tenuous working conditions?

Funny how Auditor Martha Yoder is all of the sudden worried about the Commissioners cutting her budget and potential layoffs, yet she supports Columbus’ push to eliminate property tax. Local governments and local schools will change forever after those cuts. There will be many more layoffs to follow. And to think anyone will vote for an increased sales tax is insane.

Trump just put a turd in a hoagie bun, handed it to the American people and called it a steak sandwich. Only his faithful share his rosy economic outlook as global forecasts hit pre-WWII lows caused by insane tariffs and imperialistic designs. Ironically Trump ran out of ideas for middle class Americans just as the Epstein noose tightened around his neck! This explains why he befriends dictators and shows utter lack of respect for the rule of law.

Consider 2 million people squeezed into four townships of Trumbull County, an area of about 25 miles by 10 miles. That is the approximate area and population of Gaza. Imagine you are bombed daily and your infrastructure is in ruins, and food is largely unavailable. Palestine is not blameless for its situation, having continued terror attacks for decades and Israel is not totally at fault. With all of the power of the major countries of the world, why is this war not stopped? I don’t see an end until humans realize that everyone has the right to life. My hopes don’t account for much.

Concerning Epstein and Trump, if Trump was involved, the Obama shadow — aka Biden administration — would’ve put that out before the election. Concerning Jerome Powell, he doesn’t have an economics degree. He’s a lawyer with a degree in politics. Concerning Secret Service costs, we’re still paying for the irrelevant Clinton, Bush, Obama and Biden families. Common sense will cure your TDS.

To the teenagers flying on Brentwood Boulevard on motorcycles: If it keeps up, law enforcement will be notified. One I have seen is just off Brentwood before the park entrance. One has had a young girl on the bike with him. Not very smart.

I have a solution for the controversy surrounding the renaming of the Washington Commanders. They should be named the “Washington Spineless Congressmen” or the “Washington Spinelessmen” for short. This best reflects the ethos of that city.
