DEAR EDITOR:

The 250th anniversary of our U.S. Army was an impressive display. I have much respect for our men, women veterans. My own granddaughter is in the U.S. Army, and I am very proud of her.

Trump should have been ashamed to be at the parade. He didn’t deserve to be watching the enlisted men parading before him, the cowardly draft-dodger he is. In his seat of honor should have been veterans — men and women who were not afraid to serve our country. To make matters worse, he had the audacity to salute, military style, as if he had served. It was a nauseating display and reminded me of a small child playing army.

Dictators throughout history loved military parades, especially Hitler. At first, the German people loved Hitler’s pompous displays but soon came to realize his wicked hatred of certain people and ethnic groups. Hitler set up “work camps” that soon became concentration camps where people Hitler deemed unfit were taken, no trial, no chance to defend themselves- just gone. Sound familiar?

In the end, millions of innocent men, women and children were tortured and murdered, sent to gas chambers. Trump is friends with at least two Holocaust deniers — he’s has them to his Florida estate for dinner. History can and does repeat itself.

I believe we have an American Hitler in power, a narcissistic ego-maniac, a known convicted felon and Vietnam draft dodger. Our own Vice President Vance once called Trump an American Hitler. It’s true.

Trump claims to be the greatest President. Yet, he will go down in history as the worst.

Years ago, I distinctly remember Trump said he didn’t serve during the Vietnam War era because he had his own war to fight — a war of sexually transmitted diseases he might encounter during his many sexual escapades. He was then, and still is, a crude and vulgar coward.

Trump must be impeached. Please write to your senators and representatives to stand up and defy him. Stop him from ignoring our Constitution. I whole- heartedly agree and applaud the recent protests in all 50 states.

The entire blame for the chaos in our country and the election of a convicted felon, liar and draft dodger falls directly on the Trump supporters who were foolish enough to vote for him.
