Direction about masks within Ohio is unclear
DEAR EDITOR:
I am confused by Ohio Department of Health business directives. Are employees and customers required or recommended, with or without a COVID-19 vaccine, to wear face coverings?
Ohio public school employees and students are recommended. Responsible Restart Ohio protocols for business says employees are required and customers are recommended.
On the same website, main guidelines on safe protocols recommend if not vaccinated, all should wear masks; yet, the same website “Posters” tab says all are required unless vaccinated.
I called the ODH number and a representative could only offer her personal recommendation — not one directive from the Ohio Department of Health.
It’s a simple question, but there is no clear answer: In Ohio, in all businesses, are employees and customers required to wear a face covering, required unless vaccinated or recommended to?
Hello, Ohio Health Department, what is the answer?
