MESOPOTAMIA — Ida Mae Miller Byler, 75, died Sunday, July 27, 2025, at home. She was born Sept. 10, 1949, in Middlefield, the daughter of Albert M.P. and Gertrude Yoder Miller. She was a member of the Old Order Amish Church. She is survived by: her husband of 50 years, Andy A. Byler Jr.; children, Linda Miller, Miriam Byler, Marvin Byler, Andrew Byler, Betty Yoder and Erma Weaver; 34 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two brothers; and one sister. MINERAL RIDGE — John H. Richards, 83, of Mineral Ridge, passed away late Saturday afternoon, July 26, 2025, at his residence, with his wife at his side. He was born April 23, 1942, in Youngstown, the son of Howard and Henrietta Menning Richards. John was a 1960 graduate of The Rayen School and worked for the Ohio Department of Transportation for 30 years, retiring in 1999. He married the former Diane E. Millard on Sept. 4, 1988. CORTLAND — Randall E. Butler Jr., 90, passed away on Monday, July 21, 2025. He was born in New Martinsville, W.Va., on Jan. 19, 1935, the son of Randall E. Butler Sr. and Amanda Marie Phillips Butler. He graduated from Magnolia High School in 1953. He worked at Grinnell and then retired from Packard Electric.
