Cynthia R. Jarvis 1957-2026
LEAVITTSBURG — Cynthia R. Jarvis, 68, passed away peacefully into eternal rest Monday, June 1, 2026.
She was born Aug. 13, 1957, in Warren, the daughter of the late Eugene C. Greathouse Sr. and Mary E. Maze Greathouse.
Cindy graduated from Newton Falls High School in the Class of 1976. She then married the love of her life, Charles O. Jarvis, on Dec. 13, 1979; and together they enjoyed 44 years of marriage until his death on May 24, 2024.
Before making their permanent home back in Leavittsburg, Cindy and Charles lived in Germany and New York, while Charles served in the U.S. Army. Cindy was of Protestant faith and enjoyed quilting in her spare time and spending time with family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Charles; and one daughter, Lindsy Jarvis.
Cindy is survived by her son, Josh Jarvis; three sisters, Judy and Rod Byers, Patty and Eddy Howard and Elizabeth Schwab; and one brother, Eugene Jr. and Diane Greathouse.
Cremation has taken place.
A memorial service will take place noon Friday, June 5, 2026, at the James Funeral Home, Newton Falls, with Pastor Eddy Howard officiating, and with calling hours from 10 a.m. to noon.
She will be laid to rest beside her husband, Charles, at Crown Hill Burial Park in Vienna.
