Alex Wolanzyk 1938-2026

He was born Oct. 6, 1938, in Warren, the son of Alex and Ann Wolanzyk.

Alex graduated from Leavittsburg High School and served his country honorably in the United States Army. He worked as a journeyman machinist and he was self-employed after retirement. Alex cherished his time with his children and their families, and he enjoyed traveling and spending winters in Florida.

Precious memories of Alex live on with his beloved wife of nearly 65 years, Martha M. Beardman Wolanzyk, whom he married June 3, 1961; two children, Lynne Fiest (David) and Jerry Wolanzyk (Lisa); four grandchildren, Katie (Nick), Maggie (Mark), Laiken and Jay (Bentley); and six great-grandchildren, Nate, Evelynne, Joey, Charlotte, Bennett and Mollie Kay.

The family wishes to give a heartfelt thanks to the nurses, aides, therapists and housekeeping staff on the west wing skilled nursing unit at Windsor House Omni Manor, for the excellent and compassionate care given to Alex and his family during his journey.

In keeping with Alex’s wishes, there will be no services or calling hours. His ashes will be interred in All Souls Cemetery.
