Everett Carson Walker 1935-2026
MOUNT PLEASANT, Pa. — Everett Carson Walker, 90, of Alverton/Mount Pleasant, Pa., and formerly of Warren, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, March 31, 2026.
He was born July 25, 1935, in Connellsville, Pa., to the late Henry Walker and the late Alice Layman Walker Hawk.
Everett graduated June 7, 1953, from Connellsville High School and went to Ohio, where he later retired from employment at Wean United in Warren with 35 years of service. He and his wife moved to Florida for 12 years, becoming “snowbirds,” before returning to Pennsylvania.
He loved hunting, fishing and the great outdoors. He liked to travel, and he liked doing yard work and tinkering in his garage.
He is survived by his daughter, Diane Prinkey and husband, Terry; his two grandsons, Timothy Prinkey and Thomas Prinkey; and his great-grandson, Ivan Prinkey. He is also survived by his sisters, Elma Albright, Sue Rupe and Patricia Walker; brothers, Harry Hawk and Jim Walker; and numerous nieces, nephews and their families.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 70 years, Marion Mae Keyser Walker; his son, David; his grandson, Scott Everett Prinkey; his brothers, Danny, Larry, Lester and Mike Walker; his sisters, Rhoda Newcomer and Cathy Walker; and his brother-in-law, William Keyser and his wife, Eleanor.
Family and friends will be received 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, April 2, 2026, and 2 to 8 p.m. Friday, April 3, 2026, at Brooks Funeral Home Inc., 406 E. Washington St., Mount Pleasant, where services will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 4, 2026, with the Rev. Ira Logan officiating. Interment will follow in Normalville Cemetery.
