Larry Arthur Kuhns 1944-2026

He was born April 30, 1944, in Salem, the son of the late Charles Arthur Kuhns and Hazel Margaret Wolford Kuhns.

Larry graduated from the University of Cincinnati. He worked for many years at Packard Electric on the Electronic Data System (EDS) and later worked on the EDS System for Ross Perot.

He had a lifelong love of golf, enjoyed building his own golf clubs, and taught all his nieces and nephews the game of golf. He also taught for many years at Prestwick Golf Club. Larry was very active in sports, coaching summer league softball for girls’ teams and working with the baseball commission scheduling games for local leagues until a few years ago.

He spent time working around Cortland Christian Church, helping with many behind-the-scenes projects.

Larry is survived by his sister, Joyce Hall; sister-in-law, Gena Kuhns; and his nieces and nephews, Jennifer Hall, Jeff (Liska) Hall, Connor (Lauren) Hall, Danielle (Chris) Tenney, Morgan (Aaron) Iler, Kimberly Wilkes, Katilyn Wilkes, Matthew Wilkes, Brian Kuhns, Weston Kuhns and Owen Kuhns.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Animal Welfare League of Trumbull County, 812 Youngstown Kingsville Road SE, P.O. Box 66, Vienna, OH 44473, in Larry’s honor.

Per his wishes, there will be no services.
