Charles E. Dartt 1946-2026

He was born Aug. 19, 1946, in Ward, W.Va., the son of Jahn Chaney and Edith Elenora Heidemen Dartt.

Charles was a graduate of Cedar Grove High School. After 32 years of service, Charles retired from General Motors Corp. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force.

He enjoyed gardening, fishing, mowing his yard and going for ice cream.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Della J. Keatley Dartt of Bristolville, whom he married April 28, 1969; daughters, Tresa (Brian) Algire of Daytona Beach, Florida, and Lisa (Shawn) Piros of Howland; son, Charles “Chuck” Dartt of Bristol; sisters, Thelma Young and Joann Brooks; seven grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by seven brothers and sisters.

No services will be held.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Carl W. Hall Funeral Home.
