Beverly Lynn Jennings Taylor 1926-2026
MASURY — Beverly Lynn Jennings Taylor, lifelong resident of Masury, passed into the loving arms of her husband, Kenneth, as she went home to Heaven on Monday, Feb. 9, 2026, following a brief illness. She was 99 years young.
Beverly was born Aug. 27, 1926, in Sharon, Pa., a daughter of Samuel A. and Gladys M. Cowdery Jennings.
She graduated from Brookfield High School in 1944 and furthered her education at the Alliance School of Nursing to become a registered nurse. Her career began at the Mercer County Crippled Children’s Home, then transitioned to her work as a plant nurse at Jennings Manufacturing, and culminated in the work she did in the surgical department at St. Joseph Warren Hospital. Nursing was a vocation that she was very proud of.
Mrs. Taylor was a member of the former Masury United Methodist Church and Juniper First Church in Florida. Her other memberships included the Masury-Brookfield Woman’s Club, the American Association of Surgical Nurses and the Crazy 8s card club, where she, along with her lady friends, came together for over 70 years.
In her spare time, she enjoyed making floral arrangements, decorating eggs at Alcraft Egg Artistry, sewing and making jewelry. In addition, she was an avid reader.
Survivors include her children, Timothy Taylor (Velina Jo) of Brookfield, Pamela Taylor of Portland, Oregon, and James Taylor of Fairborn; grandchildren, Julie Bromley (Trevor), Katelyn Wise (Mike), Elliot Taylor and Trisha Taylor; great-grandchildren, Ty Masotto, Carly Taylor, Ethan Moore, Parker Moore, Cale Taylor, Ezra Wise, Malia Armstrong and Yari Taylor; and sisters, June Gibson of Massillon and Pam Grell of Pulaski, Pa.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth P. Taylor, whom she married June 20, 1947, and who passed Sept. 15, 1997; and sisters, Shirley Peters and Audrey Jennings.
A time of gathering in her honor will be held 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 14, 2026, in the home of Briceland Funeral Service LLC, 379 state Route 7 SE, Brookfield, OH 44403. She will be laid to rest next to her husband in Maple Grove Cemetery, Hubbard.
As suggested by her family, memorial contributions may be made payable to the Countryside at the Elmwood Assisted Living, 871 Elmwood Drive, Hubbard, OH 44425.
