Debra Ann Holloway 1963-2026
NEWTON FALLS — We bring you the heartfelt news of the passing of Debra Ann Holloway, affectionately known as Debbie, who left us Friday, Jan. 9, 2026, at home, surrounded by her family.
Born in Ravenna, on Oct. 7, 1963, Debbie’s life was a testament to the power of love, selflessness and courage. She departed from this world in Newton Falls, leaving behind a legacy of kindness and unwavering support that touched many lives.
Debbie was the cherished daughter of the late Robert Richards and Marie Richards and a beloved sister to Dave and Rick Richards. Her warmth and nurturing spirit were also a source of strength to her children, Matt (Heather) Holloway, Nikki Holloway and Stacy (Joseph) Boone. She was a guiding light in their lives, always present to support and love them through every step of their journey. Her role as a mother extended to her grandchildren, Jade, Ariya, Jax, Kendall and Bailey, whom she adored with all her heart and who loved her immensely in return.
A proud graduate of Southeast High School, Debbie’s education laid a foundation for her dedication to family. She was the embodiment of the phrase “always there,” a pillar of support for anyone in need. Her professional life was not defined by titles or accolades, but by the love and care she extended to everyone around her, especially her family.
Debbie’s interests were a reflection of her generous spirit. She found joy in the simple pleasure of spending time with her grandchildren, nurturing them with the same love she provided her own children. Her affection knew no bounds, extending even to her feline companions and fur grandbabies, whom she loved as if they were her adopted children.
Those who knew Debbie would agree that the words “selfless,” “loving” and “courageous” best describe her. She was selfless in her actions, always putting others before herself. Her love was boundless, a source of comfort and security to her family and friends. And her courage was quiet but formidable, facing life’s challenges with a steadfast heart.
Debbie Holloway’s memory will be cherished and kept alive by those who loved her. Her life was a beautiful example of the impact one person can have through simple acts of kindness and a heart full of love. She will be profoundly missed, but the light of her spirit will continue to shine in the lives of her family and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
A funeral service will be 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 18, 2026, at Portage Community Chapel, 6490 state Route 14, Ravenna, OH 44266.
