Darold Cutright Jr. 1962-2026

He was born Aug. 7, 1962.

Darold was a 20-year Navy veteran, a government civil servant, an active fisherman, an Ohio State Buckeye alum and a father of three.

Darold was known for being a mentor, a friend and a confidante when needed. He was someone that when he spoke, you listened to him. He was the energy in the room. You could always depend on him if you needed to talk. He’d prefer to talk about Buckeye football, but if you rang his cell at 4 a.m., he’d listen while he drank his black coffee. He was larger than life and lived the same way.

Gone far too soon, Darold is survived by his mother, Judith Prokop; sister, Kathyde Laat (Marc); nephew, Christian, 32; and three children, Ginelle Bullinger, 43 (Brandon Bullinger, 44), Eric Cutright, 42, and Kyle Cutright, 25. He is survived by five grandchildren, Nicolas Cutright, 18, Micah Bullinger, 15, Nathan Cutright, 14, Virginia Bullinger, 12, and Henry Cutright, 5 months.

May he rest in heaven, fair winds and following seas.

The family will have a celebration of life in Ohio in May 2026 with details to come.
