Theresa A. Nelson 1948-2025

She was born May 29, 1948, in Warren, a daughter of the late Paul and Agnes Kostrub Krasnasky.

Theresa was a 1965 graduate of Cardinal Mooney High School.

She was a member of the Southington Fire Auxiliary, the Herb Society and the Embroiderers’ Guild of America. Theresa was active alongside her late husband with the Trumbull County Fair Board, where she was instrumental in the domestic and culinary buildings of the fair. She was a skilled seamstress and enjoyed sewing and attending craft shows. Theresa loved her cats, Moe and Sushi, but most of all she loved her family.

She is survived by her daughter, Angela (Don) Offutt of Rome; stepdaughter, Kelly Nelson of London; stepson, Mike (Kris) Nelson of Southington; half-brother, Paul Krasnasky of Boardman; half-sisters, Diane Morrell and Janice Martin, both of Youngstown; grandsons, Blake Offutt and Matthew Offutt; and step-granddaughter, Morgan Nelson.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Don Nelson, and her half-brother, Thomas Krasnasky.

A celebration of life will take place 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 3, 2026, at the Southington Fire Station, 4361 OH-305, Southington, OH 44470.

Carl W. Hall Funeral Home was entrusted with her cremation.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to offset funeral costs or to the Southington Fire Auxiliary, in care of Lois Wortman, 2307 Montgomery Ave. NW, Warren, OH 44485, in Theresa’s memory.
