Nancy A. Blair 1939-2025
BROOKFIELD — Nancy A. “Nana” Blair ran into the loving arms of her beloved Skip as she passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 2, 2025, following a brief illness. She was 86.
Nancy was born Feb. 18, 1939, in Youngstown, a daughter to James H. and Jane L. Benedict Vogan.
She graduated in 1957 from South High School, Youngstown, and worked as a teller for 19 years at the former Society Bank / Key Bank, Youngstown. In addition, she had also worked at the former Greenwood, Thrift, & Eckerd Drug Store, Brookfield.
She was a member of Brookfield United Methodist Church; Fortnightly the 4th, Youngstown; DARE; and Parents Without Partners, YWCA.
In her spare time, she enjoyed knitting, crocheting, crewel embroidery and crafting. She and Skip wintered in Astor, Florida, and Ruskin, Florida, for many years. Furthermore, Nancy liked traveling to dirt track races all over the East Coast and Mid-Atlantic; however, spending time with family gave her the most joy.
Nana was a doll who had an energy about her. She never met a stranger and loved socializing. She will definitely be missed.
Mourning her loss are her children, Richard T. (Karen) Price of Lexington, Kentucky, Karen N. (Ira) Keener of Naperville, Illinois, Jane E. (Art) Lonardo of Champion, Denise A. (Stephen) Price of Poland, Kendra Christy of Cortland, Diane (Tom) Faye of Morrisdale, Pa., Rick (Becky) Blair of Kennesaw, Georgia, and Kevin (Dana) Blair of Aldie, Virginia; 17 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Barbara Vogan of Clarksville, Indiana; as well as a niece, Linda, and nephew, Jim.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dale A. “Skip” Blair, whom she married April 12, 1984, and who passed Sept. 28, 2021; brother, Bill Vogan; nephew, Keith Vogan; and son-in-law, Mark S. Christy.
