Shirley A. Wittenauer 1937-2025
GIRARD — Shirley Ann Wittenauer, 88, died Friday, Oct. 24, 2025, at Liberty Healthcare Center. She was born June 6, 1937, in Hubbard, a daughter of Irvine and Helen Bernice Danner Fergusen.
She retired as a secretary at Columbia Iron and Metal and was a caregiver at Homecare Network.
She was of the Catholic faith.
Survivors include her son, Gary Wittenauer of Niles; stepchildren, Donna Carson of Liberty and Donald Wittenauer Jr. of Beloit; seven grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
Shirley was preceded in death by sons, Charles and Michael Wittenauer; stepson, David Wittenauer; two brothers; and twin sister, Beverly Friend.
