Clyde E. Sallaz Jr. 1949-2025

WARREN — Clyde Edward Sallaz Jr., 75, of Warren, passed away Friday, Oct. 31, 2025, at his home.

He was born Nov. 29, 1949, in Warren, a son of the late Clyde E. Sallaz Sr. and the late Maryann Bagical Sallaz.

He was a graduate of Warren G. Harding.

He was a veteran of the United States Army, having served as an Airborne Ranger during the Vietnam War. He then went on to retire from GM of Lordstown after 35 years of service on the assembly line.

Clyde was a member of the VFW Post 1090 of Warren. He enjoyed fishing and refinishing antiques. Clyde especially loved spending time with his grandkids who meant the world to him.

He is survived by his daughter, Brianne (Dane) Cavender of Warren; sister, Rebecca Sallaz of Painesville; grandchildren, Khaz Alan Sallaz, Madison Mae (Dallas) Bayus, Samantha (Dan) Cavender and Cheyanne (Herbert) Hogue; and great-grandchildren, Nathaniel, Hunter and Atlas.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Craig D. Sallaz; and two brothers, Michael and David Sallaz.

Services will be held at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 5, 2025, at Carl W. Hall Funeral Home, which will be followed by military honors by American Legion 737 Lake Milton. Friends may call from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at Carl W. Hall Funeral Home.

The family requests that material contributions be made to Healthy Hearts and Paws Project, 909 Martin Luther King Blvd. SW, Warren, OH, 44485, in his memory.
