Wesley J. Sippola 1932-2025

SHARPSVILLE, Pa. — Wesley J. Sippola, longtime resident of Williamsfield, Ohio, entered into eternal rest Sunday, Oct. 19, 2025, three days shy of his 93rd birthday.
He was born Oct. 22, 1932, in Conneaut, Ohio, the son of Isaac N. and Laina Eleanor Pouttu Sippola.
Wesley graduated from Williamsfield High School in 1950, where he was active in all sports. He enjoyed sports all his life, watching when he could no longer participate. On Oct. 26, 1950, he married the love of his life, Eileen Abbuhl, and they shared nearly 62 wonderful years together, until her passing Aug. 29, 2012. They lived in Williamsfield until they sold their farm in 2002. They had one son, Alan W. Sippola, who passed Sept. 17, 2025.
An immensely talented man, Wesley started his working life as a millwright for Packard Electric. He was persuaded to transfer to the tool and die shop at Packard, started and completed an apprenticeship and loved what he did the rest of his career. Wesley was precise in his work, could build or fix any part and would take on any project. He did woodworking to relax and built cabinets from a cherry tree on his property. No matter what the job was, Wesley always did it to the best of his ability. He surrendered his life to his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and his desire always was to be the best witness for Him in his words and actions.
Precious memories of Wesley live on with his daughter-in-law, Lucinda “Cindi” Sippola of Vienna Township; four grandchildren, Jason Sippola (Susan), Alvin Willaman (Amanda Whitacre), Ashley Morris (Jay) and Alyssa Sippola (Adam Knorr); three great-grandchildren, Hannah Sippola, Zachary Sippola and Lincoln Morris; and two sisters, Noreen Fairburn (Robert) and Linda Riddell (John), both of Ashtabula.
His parents; his lovely wife, Eileen; his son, Alan; and his great-grandson, Keith Sippola, preceded him in death.
Calling hours will be 10 a.m. to noon Friday, Oct. 24, 2025, at Staton-Borowski Funeral Home, where services will begin at noon Friday, with Pastor Charles Schwartz officiating. All who knew and loved Wesley are welcome to attend and celebrate his remarkable life.
Burial will take place privately in Williamsfield Cemetery.
Arrangements are entrusted to Staton-Borowski Funeral Home, 962 North Road NE, Warren, OH 44483, 330-394-6200. Dedicated to serving your loved ones. This obituary may be viewed and condolences sent to www.statonborowskifuneralhome.com.
