VIENNA — Robert J. King, 83, passed away peacefully at his home, Monday, Oct. 27, 2025.

He was born May 17, 1942, to Glenn and Matilda King.

His greatest love in life was his family. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 47 years, Patricia, as well as his parents, Glenn and Matilda King.

Together, he and Patricia raised their seven boys – James (Jacqueline), Timothy, Mark, Christopher (Linda), Vaughn, Matthew (Tina) and Michael (Kristin) – instilling in them the values of hard work, integrity and love for family. He also leaves behind 14 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, all of whom brought him immense joy and pride; two sisters, Denise (Ted) Webb and Christine (Skip) Bechtol; and several loved nieces and nephews.

A lifelong lover of nature, he found peace and happiness in the outdoors. Whether hunting or fishing with his boys, he cherished every moment spent surrounded by the beauty of the natural world. His strong and steady nature was instrumental in guiding his sons to become the good men they are today. He was a devoted father, grandfather and great-grandfather who could always be found cheering from the sidelines, supporting his children and grandchildren in their sporting events and life endeavors.

Those who knew him will remember his strength, his kind heart and his ability to tell stories that could make anyone smile. He was a strong man with a soft heart who loved nothing more than spending time with his loved ones. His legacy of love, family and storytelling will continue to live on through all who were fortunate enough to know him.
