Laura M. Davis 1931-2025

She was born March 28, 1931, in Sharon, Pa., the daughter of Charles and Elizabeth Reynolds Snider. She graduated from Hartford High School.

Laura retired from Packard Electric after working 30 years in assembly.

She was a member of the Hartford Community Church, where she worked many years in the food bank. She was a deaconess and a Sunday school teacher.

Laura married David Stecher on Oct. 19, 1950; he passed away Dec. 9, 1975. She then married Miland V. Davis on Oct. 6, 1977; he preceded her in death on Feb. 19, 2013.

She is survived by a daughter, Charlene (Arthur) Schultz of Greenville, Pa.; three stepdaughters, Barb Siekkinen of Kinsman, Peggy (David) Kananen of Jacksonville, Florida, and Ruth Lee of Laramie, Wyoming; three stepsons, Paul (Mary Ann) Davis of Salineville, Frank (Nina) Davis of Girard and Floyd (Amy) Davis of Kinsman; 13 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Betty Garlock of Kinsman; and a brother, Ed (Toots) Snider of Kinsman.

She also was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Donna D. Miller; a son, David C. Stecher; a stepson, David Davis; a sister, Anna Mae; three brothers, Paul, Frank and George Snider; a great-grandson, Danny Jr.; and a great-great-grandson, Isais Greyson.

Visiting hours will be 11 a.m. to noon Monday, Oct. 20, 2025, at the Galloway Onstott Funeral Home, 3451 state Route 7, Hartford, OH 44424.

The funeral service will be held at noon Monday, at the funeral home, with Pastor Jeff Tjader officiating.

Burial will be in Hartford Township Cemetery.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the giver’s favorite charity, in Laura’s name.
