John F. Stano 1949-2025
WARREN — John Frank Stano, 75, passed away Saturday, Oct. 11, 2025.
He was born Dec. 7, 1949, in Point Pleasant Beach, New Jersey, and was a graduate of Howland High School.
He is survived by his sons, Joshua (Windy) Stano of Warren, John (Tabbatha) Stano of Cortland and Carlo Stano; sisters, Verna (Jim) Nezbeth of New Port Richey, Florida, Patty (Garry) Christy of Ocoee, Florida; brother, Vic (Lorie) Stano of Westfield, Indiana; and grandchildren, Nathan and Jacob Stano.
John was preceded in death by his parents, John and Emma Stano.
John attended Kent State University, studying art and graphic design. His greatest accomplishment was an award he received recognizing his painting of landscapes and lighthouses, in particular, a painting of Pearl Harbor.
He worked as an assembler at Delphi Packard Electric and as a driver for Enterprise. He loved watching and talking about sports, especially when the Cleveland Browns and Pittsburgh Steelers played, traveling and taking family vacations. His hobbies in retirement included his appearances as DJay “Johnny B. Good” at weddings and other events, and bowling with his church group.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
