Candace L. Ruffo 1950-2025

She was born March 21, 1950, in Harrisburg, Pa., the daughter of the late Charles A. Rush and the late Anne J. Jones Rush.

Candace earned her master’s degree in education from Youngstown State University. She was a teacher at LaBrae schools for 35 years. She loved reading, dancing, wrapping gifts and making cookies especially during the Christmas holiday, which was her favorite holiday.

She is survived by her husband, Larry Ruffo of Conneaut, whom she married Oct. 9, 1998; children, Julie Hall, Larry (Shannon) Ruffo Jr., Halley (Ryan) Majersky and Trevor (Brittany) Totten; and grandchildren, Tanis (Cayle), Seth, Derek, Brianna, Noah, Riann, Leila, Griffin and several others.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Charles K. Rush.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 9, 2025, at the Carl W. Hall Funeral Home. A celebration of a life, “A Trip around the sun” will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 11, 2025, at the Bazetta Christian Church.

In lieu of flowers, Candace’s family requests that contributions be made to Hospice of the Western Reserve in Ashtabula county, in her memory.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Carl W. Hall Funeral Home, Warren.
