WARREN — Robert Paul Kosmas died peacefully in his home Wednesday, Sept. 3, 2025.
He was born Nov. 30, 1942.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Myrtle Kosmas (Arlington, Virginia); his brother, Nick Kosmas (New Smyrna Beach, Florida); and his sister, Vicki Nelson (New Smyrna Beach, Florida).
Paul adored his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is survived by his loving partner, Kendra Cetrone (Warren); and seven children, Emilee Kosmas, Laney Kosmas and Bianca Cesta (Warren), Michael (Kiki) Kosmas and David (Donna) Kosmas (New Smyrna Beach, Florida), Paul Kosmas Jr. (Lexington, Virginia) and Kristen Kosmas (Seattle, Washington).
Paul was blessed with 11 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He is also survived by two brothers, Steve (Angela) Kosmas and James Kosmas, and a sister, Margot (Tom) May.
After Paul’s father passed away, Paul began helping his mother operate a carry-out sandwich shop in Washington, D.C. He furthered his career in the restaurant business in Washington, D.C., owning and operating a small sandwich shop in the mid-1960s.
Paul fell in love with Florida as a young man and decided to move from D.C. to New Smyrna Beach in the 1970s. His mother, brothers and sisters later joined him there.
Paul was skilled in construction and loved marketing. He soon joined his brothers, Steve and Nick, in the timeshare development business. Together, the company gradually grew into one of the largest and most successful privately owned timeshare companies in the United States, owning and managing properties in the Caribbean, as well as in Florida, Maryland and Louisiana. Paul served as vice president of Kosmas Group International until retiring in 2009.
Paul will be remembered for his infectious smile, his generosity, his strong work ethic and for being a loving father, grandfather, brother and friend. He will be sorely missed by many who knew and loved Paul.
Kendra would like to thank her three daughters, Emilee, Laney and Bianca, for the impeccable care they provided for Paul so he could rest peacefully in his home until his passing.
